Gooseberry Campout

This last weekend Jon and I went on the camping trip with a bunch of my old neighbors at Gooseberry Reservoir. We had a lot of fun relaxing and talking with everyone during the day and singing at the campfire at night.




I'm kicking myself, because I kept forgetting that I had a camera on our trip, but I did manage to take a few.

So long Farwell...

Yesterday our friend Allen threw a going away party/ costume party, only a few people got the memo about the costume part. He is moving the same day as us to Seattle.

It was alot of fun seeing people for one last time, but it started to sprinkle so we all dispersed. I'm going to miss our friends in Casper!

Graduation

I've finally graduated!!! Last Friday was our forever long graduation ceremony. My parents were able to drive up and support me and help Jon and I move into our new apartment. We had a great weekend with the families together!

Finished!!!

I am officially done with school!!! I managed to get great grades in all my classes while being a newly wed/pregnant/new owner to a dog/ double major! I'm so happy!!! My parents are driving up tomorrow for Friday's graduation and so we can load up their flat bed trailer with all our stuff.
That's right we are going to have our own apartment! I am so great full to Mom and Dad Zabriskie for letting us live upstairs and add to the chaos of the house, but I think Jon and I are ready to make the scary leap of living on our own. We are both terrified, but it will help knowing my parents are just a city away, in Utah that basically means around the corner.
My parents found us a nice little basement apartment to get us started. Unfortunately we won't be able to have Tessa with us, but once again my parents are being amazing and will watch her until we can find a place that allows big dogs. I'm going to miss having her around while Jon is gone, but we had to find a place to live and well... when an apartment like this throws itself at you, you have to take it.
I'm so excited that things are falling into place! All we need is to find jobs, so if anyone hears anything, please let me know!

Almost There

I am so close to graduating! Just days away!!! This week is finals week, which is kind of unnerving so close to graduation, but a great distraction to pass the time.
Today I have three finals with one down and two to go!
My first final was Lighting where we had to do a light show to music with moving lights. It was way fun being partners with my best friend Michelle! But When we came to show it to our teacher at 8 in the morning our show went wack! Some lights decided they didn't want to be the colors they were supposed to and our black out deleted itself. But everything went well with the music so I'm sure we'll get at least a B, but we're still kinda disappointed after spending 8ish hours on the project.
My next final is at one for sociology. I have to get at least a 41/125 or higher to get a good grade in this class, so I'm not too worried, but it is a test from all the chapters out of our book, which I've only read the chapter summaries for, because I simply keep falling asleep when I try to read the actual text. ]
My last final for today is makeup, which I am actually pretty excited for! We had to turn in a morgue for our last class, a collection of pictures from magazines. Doug will choose a picture out of our morgue for us to create on our faces. It's kinda scary, but exciting all at once!
Wednesday I have my last final for my degree at eight in the morning! He gave us a take home test, which we had to beg for, so all we have to do is show up turn in the test and then we are watching a movie! I'm so happy!!!

A Bit of Excitement!

Just real quick! I was sitting and studying for my sociology when I felt something like a tickle or a tapping in my stomach. At first I just ignored it, but then it happened again and again. It started at my belly button then moved over to my side belly then back and forth. I was kinda weirded out but then remembered that Mama Z said that we'll (My sister in law who happens to be due 3 days before me, who got married 3 days before Jon and I) be feeling some movement between now and a couple of weeks. So I looked up online, descriptions of baby movement and it said feeling like butterfly wings or popcorn against the belly, which is exactly how this feels!!! So Hello baby!!! It's nice to know you're around!

What a Weekend

This weekend was a speedy one!
On Wednesday our family had a big decision discussion about what to do with our lives. By family I mean Jon and I with impute from Mama Z and Dad Criman. Well the whole reason we were going to move to Logan was because that was the school I had decided on attending. Well now that I'm pregnant I'll be taking a year off school and Jon will be working on becoming an ESL teacher. Anyway we were looking at out of state tuition of Utah State University and well it wasn't possible to afford going there without any scholarships or grants. We talked and talked about where we were going to live and where Jon was going to go to school. After a night of prayer and sleepless worry we decided that UVU was a possibility and close to affordable. On Thursday we asked my Dad if he could talk to someone about a scholarship. Well as soon as he got my text he got a call from the head of the department from UVU's theatre program. He said he could see Jon on Saturday for a talent scholarship audition. We saw this as an answer to our prayers and rushed to get everything organized to leave for a quick trip to Utah and back.
We left for Utah on Friday after my class got over. We packed up the car with our clothes and the dog. This was going to be interesting, because we just didn't know how Tessa would deal with a six hour long drive. We hit rain and sleet until we got to Rock Springs and then it was clear skies! Tessa enjoyed being with us and running around what ever grass patches we could find at a gas station.
We got to my parents house and introduced Tessa to Target and Sally. We started with Sally and there were only a few snaps. Then came Target. As suspected he was very territorial. He and Tessa had quit a few squabbles, but only when we were out with them. After showing off the baby pictures and watching Sally and Tessa play around in the front room, we set up the blow up mattress and crashed for the night.
Saturday was the big day! We got to the theatre and waited for Jon to audition. We saw many of my old friends from high school, which was fun! Jon went in and sang a song from Little Shop of Horrors. He didn't get called back for the Summer Play, but he will hear soon if he got the scholarship.
Later that day we went shopping with my mom and hung out with the family for a bit. Then we went to meet up with a couple of Jon's old companions and laughed for a couple of hours. Then we had carne asada with the family. Introduced Avatar to my dad and Kyle. I fell asleep so I really don't know what happened.
After church on sunday we made the long drive home to Casper.
