Easter Weekend

Well this weekend wasn't what I expected, but well accomplished. I know, you may be thinking, 'The weekend just started.' Not for me however.
Thursday started as a normal day: Jon worked until three, Tim slept and played. I tried to get some cleaning done, but I was so darn tired! Once Jon got off work, that's when the craziness started. We hurried to Tim's 6 month check up at 3:30, all was healthy and happy! Ran to Walmart so I could grab some toppings for homemade pizza burritos. Got home and made the dough as fast as I could so it would rise. Fed Tim and ran (well drove...) to go visit teaching.
I had a wonderful visit with my new companion and visitee. I found out that my companion is moving the same day we are planning on moving to a new apartment, if we find one. They have everything that we are looking for within our price range! I say its an answer to our prayers, Jon, however, is being his realistic self and not putting "All our eggs in one basket." as he has said several times this week. Easter theme? I doubt it, I mean it's Jon the pun hater :) Love ya baby! Needless to say we are excited to see the apartment and hoping that the landlady doesn't have any plans after my companion moves, crossing fingers!
After visiting teaching, the pizza dough still hadn't risen enough, so Jon and I tried to put Tim down for his nap, which he refused to do, and clean at the same time for elders quorum presidency visit. Finally the dough had risen just enough for me to roll it out and prepare the pizza burrito.
I had never made it before so I didn't know how long to cook it, at what temp, or anything. Well... it was still cooking when the Elders came over... And Jon's home teaching companion is in the presidency and they had planned to go home teaching after the visit. So we didn't get to eat dinner until 9:00, but it was yummy ;)
And that was just Thursday night :)

Yesterday Jon didn't have work, YAY! So we dropped off my broken glasses, which broke a month ago, because of my fat head. The lady said it couldn't be fixed, but they could put the lenses into new frames. Of course the only frames that the lenses would come close to fitting in are these ugly brownish orange frames, but I needed glasses, so I just said to do it.
While they were doing that we took Tim to the health department get his immunizations. He cried just a little, but was his smiling self after some cheering and clapping. After we went to pick up my glasses.
We then headed to Target to get baby wipes. Jon also got me new Easter shoes to match my Easter dress. I love the fact that my husband has wonderful fashion sense! We decided to take my mom some lunch, she was so happy to have Pizza Hut instead of crackers and a soda.
We went through the car wash next to her work, while I was supposed to feed Tim, but he was more interested in watching the car wash water go past our window.
Since Tim didn't eat we decided to head back to our apartment while we wait for my appointment.
We drove past the apartment that we are hoping to get, which looks new on the outside! It has a separate entrance from the rest of the house and has its own mailbox! Jon's excited for the mailbox.
We found an easter package at our door for Tim from Grandma and Grandpa Zabriskie! He got three whole boxes of Mum Mums, his favorite treat, Puffs, a little easter basket, and resurrection eggs with a cute little story inside. We had a happy little boy.
After a nice little break we went to Dr. Preston's office for my appointment. As my dad said, Aunt Flow has been here for three and one half weeks when, as girls know, it should only be about one week. Yeeaaah I haven't been a happy camper, and was really scared what the doc was going to say. Turns out it is quite normal with the type of pills I've been taking, since they have to be different while I'm nursing. So I was really happy to know it wasn't the worst, which of course is what I jump to when something is wrong.
To end the day, We helped my dad start to get ready to put up the new fence, the old one blew down while we were watching the house when my family was in Moab for spring break. With a couple of blisters, one nail in the foot, and sore muscles Jon and I headed home for a hard nights sleep.
And here I am this morning. Jon helping Dad and the boys get supplies for the new fence, while Tim is asleep in his craddle, and Mom is getting her hair done.
We are going up to Salt Lake this afternoon to see our friends in a play at the U and hoping to relax just a little bit :)
Phew what a weekend! And it's not even over!
HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!

The Most Romantic Husband

Last night Jon and I were driving home from my parents house and I mentioned the fact that I wished we could afford for us to go on a small little vacation, just to get out of the house and have a break.
Well later last night I was feeding and putting Tim down for the night and I could hear Jon shuffling around in the front room. I finally got Tim to sleep and came out to find Jon sitting on a blanket that he had spread on the floor with two wine glasses and grape cider.
"I know I can't give you a vacation, but I hope this will help."
We sat and talked while listening to a Josh Groban CD.
He then stands up and asks me to teach him to dance. Of course the song he had playing wasn't a beat that I knew could go with a waltz or any latin ballroom dance, so we just swayed to the music.
To end the night we turned on The Blob We laughed so hard making fun of these people.
Thank you Jon for a wonderful night! I love you so much!
