Heart Beat

Jon and I were able to hear David/Elizabeth's heart beat!!! As the doc said, "I'm not alone!" The baby is healthy, which made us so happy since we haven't seen an official doctor, aside from the volunteer at a care net clinic. We found the heart beat in my lower right side, just above my appendix scar. I'm so excited to see D/E in person!!! Six more weeks and we'll be able to tell if it's a boy or a girl!!!
It was sooo neat to finally see a doctor who will be with us permanently! The clinic was super nice and funny. I had just gotten back from my make-up; in class we use our hands for pallets so my hand looked like it was bruised. Everyone who took care of us asked me what happened with a sideways glance at Jon. I said it was a make-up class and they'd look at my make-up free face and look confused, so I would have to explain that it was theatre make-up so I washed it off. I laughed so hard when we got outside.
Everyone was very supportive and gave lots of suggestions, like I can't take out a cat box if we had a cat :) Jon is to always say, "yes dear", which he did even before I was pregnant ha ha ha, ginger root will help with the morning sickness! And lastly it is always his fault, which is and isn't true :)
I love leaving a doctors office with a smile on my face! I'm hoping Logan will be just as amazing!

Spring Break

This spring break was relaxing...sort of. I was able to sleep in until about nine thirty. Then I usually made breakfast of cereal.

Monday: I did laundry, lots and lots of laundry! About 4 loads to be exact.
After lunch I cleaned our little TV room

Tuesday: This was my try not to die day. This baby seems to not like cleaning two days in a row, because I tried to finish the laundry and ended up just crawling into bed. That night we went to Allen's house and watched Iron Man.

Wednesday-Friday: was a mix of Monday and Tuesday, cleaning and sleeping.

Saturday: Jon's day off!!! Once again more cleaning :)Jon found some of his old comics, so we've both been geeking out!!! I'm so glad that my husband isn't a stuck up jock.

Today: I tried going to church and was able to last through sacrament, but I didn't think puking would be all that reverent, so my dear old husband drove me home. And now we're sitting here watching Avatar. Ah the joys of us :)

Holy Cow

Oh my goodness it has been forever since I have posted anything!!! Let's just say this year has been crazy! Begin with October 31, Jon Zabriskie proposed to me!!! EEEE I was so excited, well I still am, but anyway. We planned and planned; decided on December 29th as the wedding date. Planning and more planning!

December I was Bell in A Christmas Carol, while finishing classes in order to graduate, planning a wedding, organizing my auditions for Utah State University, and trying to balance my social life with love life.
Christmas break finally came and I had to leave my husband to be and go home to organize the final details of the happiest day of my life. I was endowed the 19th, which was absolutely amazing! The temple is so beautiful and peaceful! I didn't expect that, but then again I didn't know what to expect. But all the same my testimony grew 10 times!!!
Christmas day came, but my real present didn't come until late that night, when Jon drove down for his sister's wedding. Yup that's right, Sara got married three days before us, but engaged after us, I felt so sorry for my mother in law. Anyway I have to say that was my favorite part of the whole day, was seeing my lover boy.
The next day Jon and I traveled to the Logan Temple to view the sealing of Sara and William. The ceremony was absolutely beautiful, which made me more and more excited for my own wedding! Her reception was held in a church building in a small town a couple miles outside of Logan. I Can't believe how many family members there were, both on the Zabriskie side and the Phelps. There were so many children and people around that I was sure that they couldn't all be family, but they were. We left a little early so we wouldn't have to drive in total darkness.
Well our day finally came! But our wedding was scheduled at one, so we basically wandered around my house going crazy. Jon and I didn't talk a whole lot, but squeezed each others hands and smiled. I could see the anxiety in his eyes and I'm sure he could see it in mine. The clock got slower and slower, but once we were able to get everything organized in the temple office it seems like everything blurred together. The ceremony was amazing! I of course was over eager and said Yes about four times before I was supposed to. But it wasn't completely my fault, because he was saying everything so slow and paused for effect, but I took it as my turn to speak.

Anyway we were sealed for all eternity and able to start our lives together! And how else would we start it? Taking pictures in the snow of course! It snowed and dumped and dumped! Everyone was concerned that I was going to get cold, but my peti-coats kept me nice and toasty, until our photographers had us walk into the snowy grass area in front of the temple, and my ballet flats got soaked! My feet turned bright red, and everyone freaked out! So a hint to those who are going to get married in the winter, wear boots! We had our wedding dinner at The Pizza Factory, which was, as always, Delicious! I was good and limited myself to two peices :)
Then we went to our reception and took more pictures (all of which can be viewed on Face book). Then off to our non-Honeymoon.
The first night we spent our night at the Marriot in Provo, which is super nice! Jon got sick with a fever and the chills. The next day we got to go to Jon's companion's wedding in the new Draper Temple. During the Ceremony Jon turned green and we both thought he was going to vomit in the temple. We rushed outside after the wedding, but nothing happened, so Jon lay down in the car as I drove to my parents house. We canceled our trip to Jackson Hole because we both weren't feeling well at this point and there was tons of snow. We reserved a cheap hotel room by the old Walmart and Homedepot. The room was nice, but there wasn't any hot water in our first room, so we got to move to a suite for the same price.
Long story a bit longer, We spent our honeymoon on my parents couch, but I think it was for the better :)
Now I'm skipping a couple weeks of more sickness and balancing a show with married life, friends, school, auditions for next year scholarship, ect. I started feeling sick, but not the same kind of sick I'd felt for most of the semester, I was starting to get frustrated, because I had already missed so much school. My friend and I usually can warn each other when that monthly friend will come, because we never know when it will show up. Well mine never did. I was starting to put two and two together and was getting really nervious. I was home wanting to puke my guts out, but not able to and Jon said that Sara had left an extra pregnancy test in the other room. After a lot of denial and not wanting to know, but wanting to at the same time, I gave in and took it. The instructions said to wait two minutes so Jon and I started talking and ten minutes later we looked and saw a +! We went to a clinic the next day to double check, and it's true! I'm almost eight weeks pregnant tomorrow. We're super excited! And our family is being super supportive and helping us out. And that's about all that has happened since August :)
